Dear composers,
we were at the music exhibition in Frankfurt and found some highlights for you:

1. inter-note

inter-note

inter-note

Who hasn´t been published yet, can do it by himself with “Internote”: Upload your works on the website, choose your conditions and you are published. They print on demand, so there is no minimum print run needed. More information:

2. Girls only

archivfrauundmusik

Archiv Frau und Musik

There´s an archiv in Frankfurt, where pieces of female composers are collected. We contacted them to give your compositions for the competition to them, but of course it is easier, if you call them by yourself. It´s free advertisement and you can safe your work for a long time.

Now it´s been more than a half year since the first Crossover Composition Award happened and were are very satisfied. Because not everybody of you could have been there, we want to show you something new:

Ries & Erler

1. Every piece of a price-winner has been published by Ries&Erler now. http://www.ries-erler.de You can buy the sheets of Benedikt Brydern, Tina Ternes, Ewelina Nowicka, Teodor Nicolau and Dorothea Mader now. The sheet of Aleksey Igudesman is in progress at Universal Edition.

2. Of course only some of you could have been there at the big finale, so you can watch it right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqgOXDE7sFk

3. It seems to be more difficult to write for two violins than we first thought. Many good ideas arrived, but some were just inappropriate to play, some impossible, some not for violin, some had problems with the two violins and so on. The next competition will be in 2012, so start to prepare. If you want to practice, you can send us some sheets, may be we can say something about it.

4. We want to establish this newsletter for composers, but for this we need you. If you had some good advice, helpful links and things like that, write to us. Suggest this email to your colleagues and tell them to apply here for the next one. Have a look at contact.

We wish you much inspiration and hope to hear from you soon.
